Take the 24 Hour Truth Challenge

Here's how it works: Starting right now, and for the next 24 hours, you decide to be honest and authentic in everything you do. You don’t lie to yourself and you don’t lie to anyone else on any level of your life. You will start to become acutely aware of your thoughts and words about everything you say and do.

Once you get past the initial discomfort of being completely honest, you start to feel a sensation of strength. A lightness and energy and freedom arise. You’ll notice a difference in your courage, the way you walk, the way you stand, the tone of your voice, the communication you have with people you love, the depth of connection with those close to you and with people you don’t even know.

When you speak the truth, feelings might get hurt. That is okay, humans are not weak. You do people no favors by trying to protect them from the truth. If you honor the people around you, be honest with them. You are beginning to shift your consciousness; you are now paying attention.

I offer this challenge as a gift to your self. After the first 24 hours, take another, then another. Your life, health, and peace of mind will never be the same.

Thank You I will continue to use this site and learn from it's extraordinary healing, cathartic value. People have different version's of truth. But there is only one truth, and most of the time it makes people uncomfortable. How does this happen? Honesty with self first. application. realization. Coming undone. putting it all back together one little piece at a time......

Well Done to you Gary King xx
I also believe in honesty, even though now i realise that an exaggeration is not telling the whole truth. I am so aware that it is actually fun when you catch yourself.

A pastor once said it's very important to develop a tender conscience. I think that many people now days either ignoring their conscience or completely shut down their conscience. A tender conscience keeps us doing things right in life. If more people realize "there is no such a thing as an inconsequential lie" and keep a tender conscience, we will have a better society. Thank you for spreading the words.

Being true to yourself is the most important thing I believe. That includes looking at your thoughts, actions, beliefs and uncovering your true desires honestly. Speaking the truth to yourself, and doing what you truly desire is the path to treu joy. Then the power of truth will be who you are, and you will not have to 'try' to do anything.
Thanks, Nan Akasha

I love the message of honesty and appreciate Gary's work. I wonder if we will ever be able to have an honest dialog about religion or if honesty will always remain a taboo in this very important realm. I present a challenge to Gary to think and speak about the morality of a primary tenet of the major religions which condemns everyone who doesn’t agree with them to eternal hell and misery—BASED ON FAITH NO LESS! While it is certainly true many of the world’s followers deny that premise, to do so is to clearly dispute the message of Jesus, so most people keep that to themselves, dance around the implications, and ignore their religion is founded on the principle of persecuting people who are honest about religion.

In the things you bring into your life look for 1) truth, 2) beauty, and 3) goodness. Truth is universal and unchanging. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - we are all not attracted to the same type of person or looks. Goodness is also a relative term as Shakespeare said, "Nothing Is Really Good or Bad, but thinking makes it so".
You will venture into things you think are beautiful and good, especially like foolishly falling in love.

Eventually we learn that Truth should be used as the 1st filter before you say something is Beautiful or Good because if they lie to you, if they cannot admit the truth, then they are not beautiful and they are not good.

S.Venne: This quote is related to the following statement by Christ recorded in John 8:31-32 "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
